Import Fcp7 / Resolve 9…
Hi everyone
I’m working on a french production, for a few reasons ( like no metadata in the rushs ) we have to make a “data consolidate” in Fcp.
Strangely Fcp générates sometimes (in the french version) names with accents like “…_vidéo.001”
It seems to be a problem in resolve because he understand “…_vide?eo.001”
So each times i have to relink and rename those shots…Quite annoying 🙂
If someone have a magic solution it’s very welcome…

If you have adobe solutions use Bridge to rename multiple files. Then use any text editor and it’s search and replace function to edit an XML to replace é with e.

I really like the name mangler app for these tasks. Name mangler + find & replace in an XML.
