Import Failed
This past week I’ve run into a problem I’ve never encountered before. When importing footage into fcpx from a DSLR (either a t3i or a 60d) I get the following message: Import failed. The following clip encountered and error during import. Importing from my other camera, a sony pmw ex1 works just fine.
I’ve tried trashing preferences, creating optimized media checked and unchecked. If I get the clip off the camera another way (I used Light Room in this case) the footage imports just fine from the HDD.
Any ideas?

Could be a problem with the original media. I generally like to clone the entire card structure to my hard drive first, then import from there.
