Anybody have any experience recording audio with a Tascam digital recorder? I am trying to figure out if I can set a “mark” during recording, and make that mark show up in Final Cut Pro when editing. Not sure if there is any metadata here, or if it only works within the Tascam playback functions.

    Thanks!

Tascam have made hundreds of digital recorders over the years. If you are talking about a file based field recorder that can record broadcast wav files then there is a remote chance that a marker will set a flag in the metadata that FCP can read.

However, Tascam may be implementing markers in a non standard way and also FCP might not read them anyway. There are standards for setting markers so if Tascam are compliant and FCP has implemented reading them then it should be possible.
