Import audio from a camcorder with surround sound feature
My camcorder (Panasonic SD700) has build in surround sound recording. When i import my video/audio to sony vegas (platinum 9) i have a choice of placing it in a number of tracks (front, centre, LFE, rear) as well as the normal voice and music tracks.
I had hoped Vegas would somehow sort it between the first 4 tracks to enable surround sound on output.
At present, i can merely move it between tracks. I have decided to lump it in the voice track for the time being and will revert to stereo unless i can make use of the other tracks.
I must confess…i really don’t know anything about how this works?
Is my audio track (from a surround sound camcorder) much different from a normal camcorder?
Do i need a certain sound card on my PC to utilize surround sound?
Sorry, there were no replies found.
