    Import 59.94i audio AAF into 50i project

    Hi,

    Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn’t come up with anything through the search. Possibly because the answer is an obvious ‘No’.

    Working on MC 6.5, is it possible to import an audio only 59.94i AAF(with embedded media) into a 50i project?

    When I try, Avid creates a new sequence in 50i but all the media is offline. My workaround is to import the AAF in a 59.94 project and export WAVs which I can then import into the 50i project.

    But is there a slicker way to do this?

    Once you import the AAF into the 59.94 project, just open that bin in the 50i project and use the sequence as source when editing into a new timeline.
