I have captured 1.5 hours in iMovie because I wish to use iDVD. Now I would like to bring a hanful of clips from there into Final Cut Express. Can I do that without having to export each clip. I’m trying to avoid having to render all the clips I bring into Express.

    Thanks Wise One

What do you want to do in FCE? You could try and open the iMovie project in FCE, but that seldom works. If you export the iMovie project it’s a single file. If you need to edit the clips you’ll need them as separate pieces. You’ll still probably have to render in FCE because of the different formats, unless you export a QuickTime DV file(s) from iMovie.

    All the best,

    Tom
