I’ve asked about using FCP4 and told of potential program age problems. As I’d said, at early stage it seems to be working. I’m new to both programs. I’m making a 4 min. Kickstarter video with synched SFX and VO Narration, zooming and panning on stills and live action. Does anyone familiar with both these apps know if I may be just as well off with the newer iMovie than the antique FCP? I would like it to look professional as possible for a little movie. Thanks, and thanks for your observations on original post. Gerry

I’m not in a position to give a full answer, but I would make the observation that FCP4 only runs on pre-intel macs or in emulation under Tiger or Leopard, which I believe has been lost in the latest incarnations of OSX. More recent software would most likely require more recent hardware/operating system, so it might be a much more expensive step than you’d think. If you have FCP4 and it’s working for you then I wouldn’t tell you to change at this point.
