iMovie – 6 , how to import stills at 1 (or 2) frames per picture
Hi.
I know this is easily done in FCP, but for this particular thing I need to do it in iMovie.
I want to make an animation from stills made where each still takes up one (or 2) frames.
Is there a way to set this as a preset or can I make automator/applescript do the job of cuting down the stills in the timeline?

OK.
I found out I could once again do without iMovie. Hooray!
iStopmotion is a fantastic little app. You can get it in DV or resolutionindependent flavours.
For a while I thought: Apple should buy this! It’s a wonderfull app.
And then again: No, no, no. Don’t degrade it to the level of the other iApps
But it would be a nice plugin to FCP/Motion, though.
(I especially like the fact that you controll the camera from the computer and that all frames are recorded directly to the computer.)Love it! Love it! Love it!
