Hi, Does anybody use Imagineer Monet with PI for motion tracking? When I import XML data from Monet to PI the tracking, data winds up at the top left corner of the frames, what am I doing wrong? and / or is Monet compatible with PI?

Also, is there other good video tracking software (inexpensive) that works with PI? I like the easy concept of Smooth Running Gun, but the demo keeps locking up or acting quirky on any computer I try it on, which makes me tend to shy away from it.

    Thanks

My quick guess about Monet is that their coordinate system might be different than pI’s. In pI, 0,0 is in the top left-hand corner of the stage. Some programs start with 0,0 in the center of the screen or another corner, which I believe is also the problem with importing Combustion tracking data into pI.

Syntheyes has an exporter for pI. It’s got a great reputation, not quite as inexpensive as SRG, but not too bad considering all its supposed to do.

Combustion tracking data should import fine. If somebody knows that it does not, please let me know.

    Been meaning to ask this:

    Has anyone used syntheyes?

How good is it as a motion tracker? Is it fast?

Synth eyes is one of the demos that I have, but haven’t messed around with much yet. It seems to be very complicated (to me anyway) I spent about an hour with it, and didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I like software that makes a fair amount of sense naturally, before I have to read the instructions. All the reviews rave about it. I think it’s probably overkill for what I’d use it for…….thanks guy’s.
