  images around an oval instead of a circle

  Hello everyone. I hope you don’t mind helping a complete newbie. I am trying to put an image that I got from google images clipart around an oval in Illustrator. I watched a video on how do to it with a circle but I can’t find anything on how to do it with an Oval. Please be patient with me as I am a brand new Illustrator user. I appreciate any help I can get.
