  • ImageRenderer.dll Error / Iris Wipe causes CS6 crash

    Hello,

I’m experincing a strange error with Premiere CS6. I’ve narrowed it down to occuring seemingly whenever a default Iris Points wipe with a border width transitions between two HDV clips.

The generic “error has occurred and must close” message appears and there’s no way around it.

I’ve trashed preview files and cleaned Media Cache, but no difference.

Tried the same method with SD footage in 16:9 NTSC preset sequence and it hasn’t crashed so far.

Searched around Adobe Forums, Googling and no clear answer. Any help?
    THANK YOU!

I’m seeing the same problem — as soon as I try to change the border width on the Iris Star transition to something greater than 0, Premiere crashes. Did you find a solution to this problem?

    Hi James,

No, I never found a solution to this problem. Ended up downloading Premiere CC, but don’t know if I’ve used an Iris Wipe since this problem started.
Certainly wish there were more definitive answers to obvious bugs like this.
