Image Stabilizer “Twitch”
Anyone else out there experiencing a “twitch” on the horizontal plane when coming to the end of a slow pan? Sometimes it happens when the tripod is locked down and no one is touching it.
Right now it is in the shop having the entire lens assembly (lenses, ccd’s, stabilizer) replaced (under warranty – Whew!).
Just curious if this is a wide spread problem or if I got the only one doing this.

It happens. I recommend turning the stabilizer off when on a tripod. It’s designed to counteract the much more random motion of handheld shots.
