    Hi there,

I am working with some heli footage in final cut 5.1 ( I know …. I’m a dinosaur ) and am looking for some leads on cheap \ free plugins or tips to help me smooth out \ stabilize some of the shake.

    Thanks!

You are not going to find any cheap or free plug-ins. Can I assume since you are using very old software, you are also on a very old system?

The latest version of FCP has it built in.

My advise is to find someone with an FCP system that is current.

You might want to try and find a copy of Shake. If you look around, some retailers may still have a copy or two.

Or you might want to bite the bullet and buy a copy of Combustion.

If you’ve got an Intel Mac, you could simply upgrade to FCP 7, which has a stabilizer.
