Image sizing problem
Hello all! I’m trying to get a promotional picture to fit the entire screen of my video on youtube. Here’s an example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8i1jtly_aQ
Hopefully someone here has some Final Cut knowledge as well. I have my project in Final Cut set up for 1280 x 720 Anamorphic aka 720p on Youtube. My image in photoshop is also 1280 x 720, yet when i bring the picture into Final Cut is gets distorted and squashed a bit and doesn’t fit correctly? Does anyone know how I can make my photoshop image take up the full canvas in Final Cut without the black bars or picture distortion?

If your image is in photoshop 1280×720 and your sequence is a 1280×720 (Prores) preset…it should match the full screen without any black bars.
Anamorphic doesn’t mean 16×9 – it means the pixels are shaped non square. If you have the anamorphic switch (or anything else other than square pixels) that would screw it up.
