I am a camera operator and I who would like know if After Effects is the correct tool to sharpen a medium shot of a persons face. The shot is a dolly shot and is about 25 seconds long. It is usuable as is but ideally if the eyes were a bit sharper I would be happier. I am a casual Photoshop user and I have witnessed the wonders of “Unsharp Mask” to restore stills. Is this impractical to reproduce this in a moving image without just effecting the overall contrast of the shot or correcting every frame individually?

After effects has an unsharp mask effect that works pretty much the same as the photoshop one,
but watch out for flickering on the tvs-creen if you use it.
