I’m probably doing something stupid here, but I cannot get an action to resize images. I’ve tried in CS4 and also 5.5.

I’ve created the action, its to resize a series of bitmaps from 720×540 to 720×576. I’ve created an action that when all the dialogues are on works.

Now when I turn the dialoges off the resize isn’t applied.

    Help please

    Don’t worry, sorted it.

Something to do with the ‘override’ commands when automating.

I’ve never understood exactly what’s going on there!

Just in case you are interested to learn more about actions, Richard Harrington spent a whole chapter on actions and related items in his book Photoshop for Video

    thanks Theo,

I see he posts a lot here. As a video professional I guess I should start taking photoshop more seriously. I’ll buy his book on your recommendation.

    Cheers
