Image off-center via SDI
I recently purchased a Sony PVM-14L5/1 monitor with the optional SDI input card. It’s connected to a G5 with a Decklink card (the entry-level SDI card). I also have a Canopus ADVC-100 connected to the monitor via an S-video cable, and a DVD player connected via the component inputs.
Analog sources display properly on the monitor (composite, S-video, component) but when viewing the SDI input from the Decklink, the image is significantly left of center. Is this a monitor calibration issue, or am I missing something in the Decklink control panel? The monitor has no menu option (well, no visible menu option, anyway) to adjust image position on the screen. Unfortunately I don’t have any other SDI source to test with, so I’m not sure if the issue is with the Decklink card, the SDI decoder card, or the monitor itself.
Any suggestions? I’m sure Sony would be happy to calibrate the monitor for me for a hefty price (plus shipping costs – ugh!), but I’m hoping there’s a simpler fix.
Thanks in advance.
