hi. i am looking for a method (or a plugin) that’ll let me to get to
information about frames in After Effects, witch will
enable me to work with the returned values inside expressions.for example, i want to write an expression witch controls some effect,
based on the amount of red (255,0,0) pixels in the current frame.there are so many filters, effects and plugins avaiable for AE, but i didnt find any
that returns values like that. histogram, levels, stuff like that.i’d be gratefull if someone pointed me to such plugins, or maby explained me
how can i gain that kind of info throu expressions (but i think it is impossible)thanks

The ony one I know of that you can actually get your hands on right now is the “Color Sampler” effect, which is part of Digital Anarchy’s Anarchy Toolbox set.
