Ok so in photoshop I have shape that was created. It’s a solid black 3d perspective rectangle with rounded corners. Like a rounded corner cinema screen you are viewing from an angle.

I need to make my videos (quite a few of them) look like this. So i start by scaling my video down and then applying a basic 3D effect for the perspective. But I can’t seem to create the right kind of mask to shape the video. If I draw the mask by hand in photoshop by just tracing the PNG of the solid black image shape, I get something that works, sort of, it’s messy. And it only works for one video. The minute I try to copy and paste that mask to another video the mask becomes either too small or too large, even though my videos are all the same size.
I really don’t understand what is going on.

Shouldn’t the mask I draw stay the same size no matter what video it is applied to? Shouldn’t I be able to count on it as my template?

My second question, is there an easier way to make this mask from this image? Is there a way in After Effects 7 for me to take this solid black PNG images and say “I want the video to take the shape of this image?”
