Image lower quality in 3d layer
Posted by Chris Papandreopoulos on May 5, 2020 at 3:05 pmHello!!! I have an issue when i switch a layer to 3d. Instatly i get a quality loss, is there anyway to fix it? I have upload an image. Left is the right image and right after switch the layer to 3d. I’m not sure if you can spot it, but its a bit blury.

May 5, 2020 at 8:16 pmis this rendered or just screenshots inside ae…it might just be a preview thing…but it actually does look slightly blurry too..Do you have depth of field turned on? on the camera?

May 5, 2020 at 8:35 pmIt’s a rendering image, but it’s exactly what i see in my workspace. Yes depth of field is off. I really don’t understand what causes this issue, it’s soo annoying. Thank you for the response.

May 6, 2020 at 1:09 amDo you have the little “sun” icon turned on for your layer? (can’t remember what it’s call and all my computers are rendering at the moment and can’t check) this can sometimes fix blurring like this.

May 6, 2020 at 8:24 pmthe sun thing is called rasterize but only works on vectors.
once you turn a vector into 3D space it loses the option to rasterize. -

May 6, 2020 at 8:29 pmoops spearing wrong information here.
if your layer is a vector, yes it retains that if 3D is used.
I had something else in my mind. -

May 7, 2020 at 11:30 amCan you reduce the project down to just the comp with the side-by-side image comparison and post it here?
