Okay, I’m somewhat of an amateur here, and I need some help. First off, so you know, I’m using Final Cut Pro 4 (yeah, pretty old version – i’m just now gettin around to using it on a regular basis).

I’m trying to do what I think would be a pretty simple, primitive effect, but can’t seem to figure it out. I have a .jpeg image essentially (of a news article), and I want to have it subtly float/glide in a purely linear fashion (along the x-, y-, and z-axis), while zoomed in on it, for visual-interest purposes, so it’s not just a static frame. Mind you, this is NOT a transition, just a subtle movement of the image, a couple inches, for a few seconds. You’ve probably seen this effect in political, etc. documentaries where they show a news article, and it has just a slight, smooth motion to it, generally to focus attention on a certain paragraph/sentence. So yeah, I hope that explains what I’m trying to do here. Can someone help me out?
