Pricing helps realize that the HP z8 series isn’t over-priced. And I’ll opt for the better expandability over the 5K monitor.
But yes, for FCX, it seems to be a good machine.

Interesting marketing strategy by Apple, to send it out to these two guys and have them generate short videos. I am close to buying a new iMac, but don’t foresee needing to edit 8k or Red Raw in the next few years, so I will probably just load up a new iMac.
I have followed the Hack-Intosh arguments recently, but for the not so vast unwashed masses, the iMacPro will probably meet the requirements of many editors.
