My Imac chokes when preview rendering fast color corrector in premiere pro cc.

    Specs: 3.4 i7 Quad, 2GB Graphics Card, 16gb RAM.
In CS6 were fine my computer runs other applications just fine but when I render the same effects in CC my entire computer chokes.
I noticed one key difference is that I think one of the accelerated performance options is enabled I shall include pics.

I have a Mac Pro with a quad core 2.8, 8 GB of Ram and an GeForce 680 with 2GB of video ram and I get the same thing. Makes colour correction a pain doesn’t it?

Found the solution, its the OpenCL GPU acceleration, if the proper graphics card is not on the computer the program chokes the computer for the request.

    1. Choose Project > Project Settings > General.
    2. In the Video Rendering And Playback section, select the appropriate renderer: Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration or Mercury
    Playback Engine Software Only.

    Choose the Software only. Viola!

Sounds like they have some work to do on the GPU acceleration memory management OSX still. Windows doesn’t show this.
