iMac 27” Late 2013 Optimal Cache & Memory Settings
Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone can suggest me the best settings to improve my machine in rendertime and in general.These are the specs:
The processor is 8 core.
I’m interested mainly in these:
-Media & Disk Cache (I don’t have SSD hd at the moment, just a 500gb USB drive);
-Memory & Multiprocessing;
Right now I’m facing a 1920×1080 music video (about 4:30 minutes long) with mostly simple 3d stuff (a long flythrough in a Trapcode Particular starfield) and I’m a bit worried about render times (deadline in one week)Do you guys have suggestions?
I know 8 gb of RAM is really low, I’m gonna upgrade that soon.

Do you think putting 32 GB of RAM and maybe an external SSD for the cache is going to significantly lift my situation?
