    Hi,
I’m thinking of buying the Panasonic PV-GS500. I can also spend little more but need a SD. Is this the best camera to get?

    Thank you! Antonia

Ummm why are you asking this on the Varicam form. That’s like a $600 camera. Please do a little more research on your own next time.

It depends on what you intend to use cam for. PV-GS500 is great for the money and mainly personal use, or where client doesn’t require HD or 24p. If your job is video production, then it’s better to go with an HD/SD varicam.(recommend: Panasonic AGHVX-200, Canon XL-H1)
