    Hello Guys, here’s my problem

    I have been trying to follow this tutorial below, but I’m not making his exact logo I’m using mine and I’m not using all his elements. But my issue is at 13:01 when he disables the dot

    at the bottom left [for the logo gloss]. When he does that, his logo shape appears but when I do the same as shown in my video below I get a black screen [can’t see my logo]. Can someone help me out so that I can proceed on with the tutorial thanks?

    Newbie in AE, so a graphic or step by step explanation will be easy for me.

    I’d appreciate the help guys.

    The dot you mention is a switch to solo certain layers, that means all other layers are hiddeb except the ones with the dot. As you see in your video, the null layer at the top also has the dot present, so everything besides your null layer is hidden. Clicking on the dot of your null layer should fix your problem
