There was a function present in all versions of After Effects prior to AE7, which was the ability to jump between different compositions in the timeline panel by using the Shift+<&> keys. I’m sitting here working on 70 compositions simultaneously and no longer been able to do this is really slowing down my workflow, to the point that I’m finally getting around to having a whinge about it

    Thanks Dave

Yeah, it was the first thing I checked after upgrading to AE7 and I couldn’t find it there. However, I just discovered from playing around that it’s now Shift + Alt + . So I went back to Keyboard Shortcuts and went through the various sections and I still can’t find it there… would have thought it would come under “Keys for moving around the timeline panel” (although technically it’s the timeline frame)… anyway if you’re working with many compositions simultaneously then it’s a good one to know.
