    C4D, (8)

Well, I didn’t have trouble importing dxf/ dwg in the past, when the original file came from Autocad or Sketchup.
I’m making vectors in Illustrator CS and they don’t seem to import into c4d. Could it be the version compatibility?
I tried everything – exporting it in all possible ways from Illustrator. Yet, nothing shows up in c4d when I merge…
Has anybody been in this situation before?
    Cheers.

Cinema has never had dwg support, except for a basic command line utility for PCs. You can get full dwg support through the Engineering Bundle, but that’s quite expensive. Regarding dxf, Cinema only imports polygonal files–not polylines. Your best best is to save in Illustrator v.8 format and import it directly in Cinema. EPS is another option.
