Illustrator Prints Off-Center
Hi – We’re graphic designers, we cannot get illustrator to print wisiwig. No matter how we place our image on the page, illustrator shrinks it slightly and shoves it to the bottom left corner of the page. We’ve tried printing on an Epson and a Xerox printer, we’ve tried exporting as PDF, erased printer preferences, changed margins all around to be bigger, smaller, fit to scale, tried it in illustrator 10, tried it in CS3, downloaded CS3 patch, shifted the image, sized up… — The image is always shrunk and shifted to the bottom left corner such that the top and right margins are larger. It happens on regular sized pages as well as custom pages – nothing works to even try to trick the program.

Enable View/Show Artboard and View/Show Page Tiling.
Than, go to File/Print/General, and make sure your media size is correct, and that Do Not Scale is checked under Options.
Also, at least with Epson printers, don’t do a full bleed print, as this scales the image after it is recieved from your app (Illustrator).If the Page Tiling looks like it is off center, go to File/Print/Setup and set your Origins to 0.
