I’m trying to extrude a logo. I brought it into C4d and i can see it fine, but the extrude nurbs isn’t doing anything once the paths are inside it.

I made a spline, to see if it was something crazy and the spline extrudes, no problem. Is there some conversion I have to do before an illustrator path will work in an extrude object?

    Using Cinema 4D 10.5 / Illustrator CS / OSX 10.4.11

    Well, works fine here…
Please make sure that the spline is closed…

I presume you have exported as “Illustrator Legacy (ai)” with the Options “Illustrator 8”…

    Cheers

Thanks for looking at this. I found the issue. When i brought in the paths they were placed in a null object. Apparently you can’t place a group of paths into an extrude. Once I connected the paths into one path, all was well.

    Thanks again,
    Les

you can place a bunch of splines in a null, you have to check off Hierarchical in the ExtrudeNurb object
