illustrator junk :(
lately while working in illustrator sometimes my direct selection tool wont work and i can’t select the paths or handles on paths because their path lines won’t light up. when this happens i have a hard time continuing to draw. usually it starts out fine and then it’ll go nuts and i can’t see my path lines after being selected or my hadles and anchor points. how come this randomly happens in the middle of working on a illustration file? can anyone help?

This should not happen randonly. Ctrl H will toggle show and hide edges. If you can actually select items with the direct tool, but they do not show as selected but you can move them, you may be unintentionally hitting Ctrl H.
