Illustrator import question
When I try to import an Illustrator CS3 file C4D opens it in the picture viewer. I have to save the file as an Illustrator 8 file to get it to import – this is a pain in the backside as everytime I alter the spline geometry in AI I have to re-save it again.
I’ve looked in the (appalling) manual to no avail – am I missing something?

This is just how it is, I’m afraid. My understanding is that, subsequent to v8, Adobe made changes to the Illustrator format that make it impractical to support.
