I’m trying to find a quick way to create a spline in Illustrator CS1 that’s flower like. There’s the star spline but for the life of me I can’t figure out a way to automatically round the corners.

Cinema4d has a nice and simple one that I’d use in a second but I don’t seem to be able to export the spline with much success.

I feel like I’m missing something simple.

    Try either of these:
effect >> stylize >> round corner

effect >> Distort and transform >> pucker & bloat

Since thee are effects to your original shape you will want to
    object >> expand appearance
so that the original shape expands into the shape with the effect (so that you paste a flower spline not a star spline into Cinema 4D)
