I would like to know if anyone has used illustrator files as texture maps.

I found this posting here at CC:

Specifically I am interested in using a illustrator file as a texture and I am wondering if you can enable it to continuously re-rasterize, similar to the way after effects treats illustrator files.

Is there a way to keep it full resolution(re-rasterized) as it moves extremely close to the camera? Additionally has anyone been able to enable an alpha channel for the imported texture?

I am aware of importing illustrators as paths, I would like to import as a texture as not to redesign the illustrator file in C4D if possible.

    Thanks

    Thank you

    Roy

Illustrator files can’t be used as textures in Cinema.

[Roy McKenzie] “Is there a way to keep it full resolution(re-rasterized) as it moves extremely close to the camera?”

only by rasterizing it out of Illustrator at a resolution high enough to be acceptable in your close shots.
