  illustrator CS error opening file

  Hi,

  Got a .ai file from a client that gives me an error when trying to open in Illustrator CS:

  “Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Expected a non-negative integer.”

  I’ve asked the client to resave and resend the file, but I’m wondering if anyone out there knows what this error is indicating, and if there is something in the way the client saved the file that may have caused it. Time is tight, and if the file comes back to me with the same problem again, I’ll need a solution.
