I need to animate the lines in this image:

Some might be aware this is a simple technique you can do in illustrator using the blend tool in Illustrator and was wondering if there’s something similar in AE so that I could animate them?

You can create the grid in AI (or AE) and then use Free Form or FreeForm Pro to bend the 2d plane of the grid in 3d space.
Another method would be to use Trapcode Form or maybe MIR.

While using Grid Effect, Make sure you choose Width Slider in “Size From” option to have more horizontal and vertical lines.
