  Illustrator autotrace

  I have a large bitmapped image that has a color half tone filter applied to it. I imported it to illustrator because I need to trace (convert to vector) the circle pattern to output on a vynal plotter. I tried to use auto trace in illustrator but it does not make perfect circles. They are ellipses and this will not work. Is there a way to trace or modify the trace that illustrator creates to make perfect circles?

  P.S. I also tried silhouette but did not have luck with that either.
