  IGNORE THIS- GREMLIN FOUND

  Hi,
  Here’s the thing, I can see the video and hear the video, just can’t control the deck. Here’s what I’ve tried:

  Camera is Connected to mac through Firewire

  HVX200P CAMERA
  In Camera Mode- Menu
  8. Other Functions
  -REMOTE set to VCR1
  -1394 Control to EXT
  -1394 CMS SEL to REC_P

  In VCR Mode- Menu
  5. Other Functions
  -Remote set to VCR 1

  In FCP7
  L&C Settings
  -Device Control: I’ve tried both Firewire NTSC & Firewire NTSC Basic
  -Capture/Input – DV/NTSC

  -I’ve tried refreshing AV source, I’ve opened and closed L&C.

  Note: These are some old mini DV tapes my client gave me that wouldn’t playback well in my Sony DVCAM deck, so I’m trying the camera. They playback fine in the camera, I just need control. Any thoughts?
