    hi there i want to make a head light of a car, and i have the model of the head light, but i’m having problems with the ilumination.
    Cause when i put inside of the model the light stop emiting.
    A friend of mine told me to use IES lights, but i can’t find a tutorial that teach it, can someone explain me how can i load them, if there is a tutorial that teach me how to make the ilumination of the headlight of a car.

    Cinema doesn’t support IES lights natively. They are supported in Vray for Cinema (plugin render engine).

    But there’s no reason that your lights should stop emitting when you put them inside your model. If your headlight lens is transparent the light should shine through. Additionally you could turn off the light’s shadow casting or exclude the headlight geometry from the light altogether.

    Are you perhaps talking about a lens flare effect?

    thanks a lot for your anwser, i’m gonna try to install vray and see if i manage to work it out.
    I forgot the detail of the transparency.

    Hi,
    waiting comes to an end: the blackstar photometric ies-ldt-shader allows using photometric light in cinema4d – without any additional renderer. Have a look:
