    Hi,

    I’m trying to export my FCP movie to DVD using iDVD 5.

    I saved the movie:
    (File > Export > QT (Not with Conversion). Make Self Contained, Use Current Settings, Do Not Recompress all frames.)
    The iDVD is going through the entire thing of rendering and them, before the burning stage, i get this message >

    ‘ encoding Video
    error during rendering/encoding:’

    what am i doing wrong ?

    What are your current FCP settings? iDVD is set up for DV NTSC 29.97 720X480 16bit 48khz

    Thanks Matthew.
    MY FCP current settings are DV-NTCS,
    the other DV-NTCS that i see under the ‘easy menue are:

    DV-NTSC 24p
    DV-NTSC Anamorphic
    DV-NTSC Firewire basics

    not sure what’s the differences are ?
    Shell i change to one of those ?

    If your settings are at DV NTSC then you can only output a selfcontained movie and iDVD should accept it. If not then iDVD is the problem.
