Does anyone know if there is an easy way to tell if media from one FCP project was used in a separate FCP project?

I work for a small company that uses multiple freelance editors in office. We also do many projects that use similar media. Sometimes media is borrowed from one project to use in another. I try to always copy borrowed media files to the new capture scratch folder, but sometimes it doesn’t get done. This creates a problem when archiving. My company only arhcives a copy of the final sequence and then the media for that project is deleted from the drives. (Most of our original media comes from beta tape, so the original footage still exists on a field tape somewhere.) It’s happened before where media for an archived project was deleted and then creates holes in other projects, hence my desire to identify if that media is used elsewhere before deleting.

Just trying to give enough background info to better understand the question.

    Thanks!
