ideas for an 80’s type interface?
I posted a similar message over at the encore forum. Anyways I would like to design an interface, animated backgrounds and so on to make the user feel it has an 80’s music video type of feel to it. I don’t have vh1 or any other type of music channel (except mtv) and have had less luck finding something on the net that could give me a good idea for the graphics and movements of stuff in the 80’s. can anyone suggest something?

Go out and rent “Weird Science”, or perhaps something like “Wargames” or”D.A.R.Y.L.” if you need pseudo technology.

also Music and especially bad synthesizers will go a long way to give you that 80s retro feeling.
