Hi, I know there is no perfect clip setting as it all depends on the type of setup you have…

But I’d let to use the best settings possible for my System… I usually create two types of TV commercials:
    1. ALL graphics (no VIDEO footage)
    2. Video/Graphic Combo (DV video, sometimes anamorphic, Always SD (not HD yet))

What are the ideal settings for both?

For the graphics spots, I used to use mainly Final Cut, but now I am using Motion a lot more…
And For the graphics, should the spot be 720 x 480 or 486?

I usually get the spots to TV stations via two ways:
    1. BETA SP with a Canopus ADV110 (yes the BETA is a relic, but TV stations still accept them and I am trying to squeeze out as much from that machine as I still can : )
    2. Upload… TV stations either request MOV (I use the h264) or M2T

Let me know if you need more info… Thanks

    C.R.

I personally use the Uncompressed 8-bit NTSC settings, especially when delivery to betaSP. Works like a charm every time. (720×486)
