  ideal AE G5 configuration?

  I’m looking to buy a new apple G5 desktop-system. Because of the budget, I’m leaning towards the 2,3 GHz MP, but I have no clue about RAM/Graphic cards ect. My main concern is fast previews, not the rendertimes.

  In AE I work mainly with:
  -3d comps, with camerablurs
  -big footage (3000×3000 pixels) and a lot of it (25+ layers per comp)

  Things I don’t know:

  -RAM: more is better? is there a limit to the amount of RAM that AE can benefit from? Does more RAM mean faster previews, or just longer previews?
  -Graphic Card: go with the standard card? Will a fancier model speed up the preview times?
  -What is a good way to get previews on a external broadcast monitor? I have a external monitor with a S-vhs input.
