I was given FCP 5 to help someone log/cvapture clips. G5 PowerPC drves are all Mac OS extended. journalled. I have as a test set in and out points for several clips. After I do a batch capture only the first clip has an actual FCP ICON. The rest are the little sheets of blank paper with the corner turned down. This usually indicates that there is no info however the file size is legit. B4 I capture several hundred clips I want to be assure these clips/media will open on my friend’s system.

What is the file extension? For the first clip that imports, assuming it is .mov? What are the extensions for the non-fcp icons? If they’re not .mov, try switching one and see if it turns from that icon into a movie icon.
