    Hi guys.
Does anybody know how to show time code when you are viewing browser clips as icons. It is available if viewing as a list but cant get it to show in icon mode.

    it’s a really bad design stuff-up, IMO.

the only 2 things viewable in icons mode are clip name (god) and Duration..
    duration? who cares???

i’d say if there was a poll, then “Media Start” would be a lot more of a popular choice than duration.

When you’re in list view you need to need to right click (or ctrl click) on one of the Browser window’s column headings to the right of the Name column (in the default browser list view the first column says Duration) … you should see a long drop down menu appear and in amongst the options will be one called “Show Thumbnail”. Choose that and a new Thumbnail column will be inserted to the left of the clicked heading and that will now display the thumbnails directly in the list view.
    Cheers

    Andy,
Thanks very much for the tip. We have been doing two camera shoots with EX3’s and lots of buttoning on and off and one only doing cutaways so it was a pain to sync shots between cameras this will make life a lot easier.
    Cheers Nigel

was the timecode set to free run / time of day … if so you might want to have a look in the manual at the Make Multiclip Sequence function … if not then you might want to check out PluralEyes https://www.singularsoftware.com/pluraleyes/
