iChat theater equivalent in MC?
Posted by Frederic Lumiere on December 6, 2012 at 8:55 pmIs there the equivalent solution to sharing your timeline output via ichat theater in MC?
Basically, I’m trying to do an edit session over the web.
Thanks!

December 7, 2012 at 1:20 amNope. Wish there was. Best you can do is point a webcam at the TV or broadcast monitor…or at the Program Monitor. Using another computer, of course.

December 7, 2012 at 1:31 amI think I’m going to experiment with a BM card going to a slingbox HD via HDMI. Should work great.

December 7, 2012 at 2:45 amI like that too but the current Slingbox, at least the UK models dont have HDMI only composite/component. But there is a brand new just released Slingbox 500, an odd looking twisted case design that does have HDMI in and out. Not available here yet but I think US just has it.
best wishes

December 7, 2012 at 4:15 amI have been using a Slingbox for years this way, and it works great. I also have used my TiVo to record different versions to, then allow my producer/director to select what they want when I am not at the system.
Now add remote desktop software and you can control MC remotely while watching a higher quality image via Slingbox on a different device.
