The silence from BM one week before the big exhibition must be a good sign 🙂
I hope they will have some nice snacks from Singapore in the bag to mix with the mandatory bitterballen.
I am knee deep in work and will not be there, but I hope for some live coverage or maybe even Resolve 8.1.

    Have fun eveyone !

And if any gets to look at the Sony OLEDs (especially the cheaper PVM), I’d love to see a review (how does that sucker stack up against a Flanders Scientific 10-bit)?

And how do those two look against an Autocue T-series?

    1. how about a better Avid MXF workflow? one that doesn’t strip out the info for reels and source file id’s.

    2. Open up to more supported cards. Hey, I’d love to see support on Aja, so i don’t need to buy another card, but if all I’m doing is monitoring my picture, and not laying off to tape, do i really need the Decklink Extreme 3? i know it’s rumored that Resolve will run on the Intensity, which is all one really needs to get the digital signal to a broadcast quality monitor.

    3. Accept XML v4 files as well as v5. open up the workflow with Premiere, esp since FCP is dead.

    just a couple thoughts..

What do you mean by “accept xml v4 or 5” ? I’m having no problems exporting XML v5 from FCP and load it in the Conform page.

Is there any features XML v4 and 5 has that isn’t interpret correctly by Resolve ?

yes, Davinci imports xml v5. basically the fcp workflow works, but if you’ve made the switch to Premiere, which only exports xmlv4 right now, you’re out of luck.

[Marc Fisher] “but if you’ve made the switch to Premiere, which only exports xmlv4 right now, you’re out of luck.”

then open the XML in FCP and re-export it!
