i5 or i7 for video editing?
I am considering buying a imac, and wanted to know if there is a significant need to upgrade to the i7 for video editing.
I don’t do 4k editing currently but may in the near future. Or is the i7 only really necessary if producing graphics/grading in resolve? -

After reading the discussions I decided to go I7, although I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Mac last much longer now that Moore’s Law is dead, so I figure the i7 might be more future proof and it is now or never. But there were a variety of opinions for sure.
