I would like to animate flies
I have AE7 and trapcode particular, i would like to create a swarm of flies/dots that follow a ‘leader’ as a flock of birds would do (just read michael crichtons ‘prey’). The detail of the flies is not relevant, they may as well be dots, but they have to follow a pattern and assimilate shapes.
My question is… is AE7 and trapcode up to this task??
Any tutorials available that get near to this would be helpful too.Thanks in advance

Aharon Rabinowitz has tutorials on this. Under tutorials, look for him and his Creating a Flock of Birds tutorial (it’s a 2-parter). It will definitely get you started if you have your fly drawn.
